Valerian and the city of a thousand planets

As Environment Supervisor at Industrial Light & Magic, I got the incredible chance to work on this unique vision of the famous french comics "Valerian". Known to be one of the original Star Wars inspiration in 70's, Valerian is a completely crazy science fiction epic story.
With our generalist team, we were asked to create the giant market, A gigantic open market and mall on an alien planet, that extend over miles and thousands of floor.
We have used Clarisse, Houdini and 3ds Max to create a procedural world where every single parcel was fully detailed at human scale.
